Lyric Soprano, Ashlyn Mazone holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. In addition to comprehensive study in vocal performance, Ashlyn has had extensive training in vocal pedagogy and physiology. This forms the foundation of her approach to vocal training and technique, making it applicable to all genres of music and people of all ages and experience levels with a passion for singing. Her teaching is focused on the individualized training of healthy vocal technique to mold each singer’s true voice. She has taught voice with Musical Expressions, Inc. since 2011, in addition to her home studio in Hagerstown, MD.
Ashlyn has had the privilege to perform in numerous venues throughout the Washington, DC region, including Opera Camerata of Washington, Bel Cantanti Opera Co. and Riverbend Opera Co. and holds a leadership role as the treble section leader for L'Opera Comique de Washington. She enjoys contributing to the choral arts as Soprano section leader and featured soloist for the French Choir of Washington, and is an active member of the Frederick Chorale. Ashlyn also specializes in areas beyond performance, contributing to the stage as a makeup artist, costume designer, props designer, and choreographer.
Her students successfully perform leading roles in operas, musicals, perform in church and community choirs, lead local bands, and perform solos in school choir concerts. Her students have placed in competitions and received scholarships to study voice at universities. |
